All our equipment and components comply with health and safety regulations and British standards
As a scaffolding company we use a grade A scaffold boards which we support every 1.2m, and our boards made from a good quality pine wood. Current regulations require these types of boards to be treated and banded at both ends.
Our scaffolding tube is used in the construction of platforms, towers and structures and with current health and safety regulations our tube have a 4mm wall and are 48.3mm wide.
A steel ladder is standard equipment these days following the banning of using the pole/wooden ladder on site due to rotting. Our scaffolders erect a ladder access as standard on every job.
Our putlog scaffolding is used mostly for brickwork scaffolds, and this type of putlog structure gives clear access as there are no standards protruding though the lift next to the brickwork.
Our double couplers component is used for joining the ledger tube to the standards. Different types of double couplers include drop forged and pressed steel.
Our single couplers are used to secure the transoms to the ledger tube at the correct intervals as specified by the Health and Safety regulations on single couplers and scaffolds.
Our scaffolding erectors company use steel base plates measuring 150mm x 150mm which are used to support the upright standards sitting on sole boards or tredda base plates to spread the load imposed on the ground.
Our transoms are positioned approximatley 1.2m apart. The transoms are used in the scaffolding structure to support the scaffold boards on the working platform. Transoms can also vary in length.
Spectator stands, ramps and scaffold staging are used for various events such as music festivals or access solutions. Our scaffolders have many years experience in putting up and taking down staging structures. Call our scaffolding company for more info on our staging scaffolds.
Our ledgers are used in the scaffolding structure to support the transoms tube and we fix the ledgers with double couplers to provide the load bearing components. Ledgers are the horizontal part of the scaffolding structure.
Hilti ties or physical ties are used at 4m sq interval to tie the scaffolding structure to the building fabric. These type of ties are usually drilled into the building with M16 anchors by fully trained scaffolders.
Scaffold construction needs to allow for the load bearing being imposed on the standards for whatever type of works are being carried out to meet current load bearing regulations.
